First you need to choose a base colour for your brand new capsule wardrobe. Choose either black or navy; whatever you are more comfortable in. Then you can begin to build ‘neutral essentials’ into your wardrobe. These should be able to stay in your wardrobe no matter what season it is.

To add colour into your new wardrobe choose one or two accent colours and patterns/layers. This will give your wardrobe dimension without needing to buy several pieces. A colour trend this season is burgundy and deep reds/purples.

Finally bring everything together by adding shoes & accessories, stick to neutral colours then you will be able to wear them with multiple items. A must have for winter 2017 is a pair of over-the-knee boots.
