The world’s largest art fair, Art Basel, has launched its online viewing rooms. Amidst the coronavirus event cancellations was, unfortunately, the cancellation of their March showing in Hong Kong. With Basel and Miami Beach fairs to follow in June and December, the inability to hold their Hong Kong fair pushed the organisers to find a solution which would still bring the fantastic art on display to the eyes of those who were so looking forward to it; the show is now available to be viewed live online.
As of Friday 20th March, the show was live via their online viewing rooms, where viewers are able to log in and peruse the eclectic art from around the world. The fair showcases 235 participating galleries and over 2000 artworks. The art is also available to purchase through their online viewing room.
