For Andy Warhol fans who would like to enjoy both art and luxury, The Dorchester Collection’s Le Meurice in Paris is offering a pop-art hotel experience to celebrate the Musée d’Art Moderne’s Warhol Unlimited exhibition.
According to the museum, ‘Comprising over 200 works, Unlimited highlights the serial side of the Warhol oeuvre – a crucial aspect of his work – and his ability to rethink the way art should be exhibited.’ The exhibition is open from 2 October 2015 to 7 February 2016.
The Le Meurice experience includes fast-track tickets to the exhibition as well as a unique pop-art lunch or dinner inspired by Andy Warhol. The latter involves ‘Pop Art Burgers’ crafted with a French twist by Le Meurice’s Chef Christophe Saintagne. And what is art without a
show-stopping dessert? Pastry Chef Cédric Grolet has taken inspiration from the artist to create four mini choux pastries made of mint, honey, tarragon, chestnut, blackcurrant and smoked pear.
To finish the artsy night off, guests will retire to Le Meurice’s luxury rooms and wake up to an American breakfast for two. Room service is also available for the Warhol-inspired lunch or dinner. Subject to availability, the offer is available from 2 October 2015 to 7 February 2016, and must be booked no later than 31 December 2015. Superior rooms begin at €1,040.
