Every week The Sybarite collates its pick of the hottest luxury lifestyle news into bite-size chunks. In this week’s edition, we cover Bugatti’s sports yacht, a luxury floating hotel coming to Edinburgh, the new luxury lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, and Mercedes’ off road supercar.

Bugatti Build Luxury Sports Yacht

The Bugatti Niniette 66 is a limited-edition sports yacht inspired by the Bugatti Chiron. A result of a partnership between yacht designer Palmer Johnson and Bugatti, the Niniette is a 66-foot long luxury yacht made of carbon fibre composite, able to reach a top speed of 44 knots. The spacious open deck is fitted with leather seats and features naturally blue oak wood. The lower deck The lower deck comes with a champagne bar, sun pad and private Jacuzzi. Rather than splitting the interior below the lower deck into multiple cabins, Bugatti opted for a large, spacious salon with a sofa, flat-screen TV and adjacent king size bed. Deliveries of the yacht will begin in 2018.

Luxury Floating Hotel Coming to Edinburgh

Plans for Scotland’s first ever static floating hotel were just this month lodged with the City of Edinburgh Council. The 23-bed hotel will be permanently berthed at the Prince of Wales Dock in Edinburgh’s historic port of Leith. The ‘boatique’ hotel is expected to open in Easter 2018, its interior design inspired by Fingal’s rich maritime history. The £3.5m investment by the Royal Yacht Britannia’s trading company, Royal Yacht Enterprises, will see this classically designed ship transformed to provide the ultimate luxury stay. It will offer a wide range of bedroom suites, cabins with private balconies, duplex apartments, and a stunning Presidential Suite.

Air France opens luxury lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

A new dedicated lounge for Business and Elite Plus passengers has been opened by Airline operator Air France in Terminal 2G at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in France. Located next to the airline’s boarding gates, the 7,860ft2 lounge is approximately five times larger than the previous facility. Haussmann-inspired Parisian surroundings and comfortable seating, as well as a selection of spa products in the shower rooms. The lounge’s brasserie-style dining area serves a range of hot and cold dishes, freshly prepared in front of guests in an open-plan kitchen.

Mercedes Unveils Luxury Off Road Supercar

The Brabus 550 Adventure 4×4²  by Mercedes was recently unveiled by Mercedes at the Geneva Motor Show. 2.25 meters tall, over 2 meters wide and offering a ground clearance of almost half a meter, this is one serious SUV. Brabus has made a host of modifications on the original Mercedes model, including a boost in the engine from 422hp and 610Nm of torque to 550hp and 800Nm. Additionally, the car includes a custom roof rack with off road lighting, foldaway side steps and a new rear bumper with fog lights and a deflector for protecting the car from rocks and other obstacles. The car can still accelerate from 0-100m/h in 6.7 seconds.
