The Sybarite’s Guide to the Best Workout Classes in London

Finding the perfect workout style to suit you can be difficult, and once you’ve got that nailed there is the added task of finding the right gym for you. The gym or studio you chose should make you feel at ease and relaxed whilst also motivating you to have a good session. Going into the search completely blind can be a daunting task so we have whittled down the thousands of options to find our three favourites from across the capital.

Hot Yoga – Fierce Grace

Ask anyone in London about THE Place to go for Hot Yoga and you’ll be recommended Fierce Grace. After setting up the first Hot Yoga Studio in Europe in Kentish Town, Fierce Grace now has six studios across the capital. For 90 Minutes, you will be put through your paces in mid to high 30 degrees centigrade as this helps the blood flow increase and it is great for weight loss. Make sure you drink plenty of water before hand though, and always have some on hand during the class!

TRX – Core Collective

For 45 minutes your body will be put through it’s paces by using both strength and stamina to work out every muscle. Core Collective has multiple sessions all throughout the day, 7 days a week and is located just off of Kensington High Street.

After being developed by a Navy Seal who recognised a need to train anywhere in the world at any given time, the suspension training has been proved to burn fat, improve the heart, and build strength.

Spin – Psycle

After being dubbed as ‘like going clubbing on a bike’ Psycle is known to be one of the best spin classes in the capital. With three different lengths of classes over 3 separate locations – Canary Wharf, Shoreditch & Mortimer Street, participants are put through the paces whilst listening to a variety of up-tempo music. Don’t forget to pre-order your post-workout shake when you arrive though, it will be ready for collection as you walk out of your class!
