Bali’s Stunning Bar On The Rocks

Perhaps the most stunning feature of Ayana Resort’s Rock Bar is that it sits atop natural rocks overlooking the panoramic Jimbaran coastline and accessed via an inclinator that crosses the cliff-face, where one can get a 360 degree view of the expansive Indian Ocean – it’s no wonder that Rock Bar has been on many visitors’ must-see lists and voted Bali’s best bar by CNN, Forbes Travel and The New York Times.

The Rock Bar was designed by Yasuhiro Koichi of SPIN (his works include NOBU Tokyo and NOBU Hong Kong), who took inspiration from the rocky splendors of Bali’s west coast to create an almost minimalist open top bar where an ‘on the rocks’ design was captured. Nature seems to take over, with the ceiling as the sky, the lights as the stars, the wall the cliff face and the music the ocean, making this bar into an unforgettable experience.

If guests prefer munching on bigger plates, Ayana has seven restaurants offering pre-or-post Rock Bar experience.

The best times to experience Rock Bar would certainly be during sunset hours, but as the venue is limited on space, we recommend staying with Ayana as hotel guests have priority access. Furthermore, for those wanting to hire the venue, the Rock Bar also caters for private parties.

Things to note – the bar is open daily from 4pm to 1am and a dress code applies.
