Bergman Interiors Showcases Beautiful Commissioned Chess Board

Looking for a Christmas gift for someone who’s impossibly hard to buy for? Lovers of elegant interiors and stunning furniture additions will surely appreciate this exquisite chess board, recently commissioned by luxury interior design and architect studio Bergman Interiors.

Showcasing the very finest in bespoke craftsmanship, this set, priced at £6,250, is bound to catch the eye of any art lover or collector who treasures originality. Exclusively available at Harrods and Bergman Interiors, each hand-sculptured piece has been delicately sketched and is luxurious to touch, with the pieces traditional details transformed into the most minimal form.

Intricately built by the hands of careful artisans in Lake Como, Italy, the sleek chess board is a structure of hand-laid marquetry of light and dark veneers, sitting on a 1cm bronze plinth. Player one is finished in brushed solid antique dark bronze, whilst player two is finished with brushed solid antique brass. Every piece on this effortlessly stylish board is made to be treasured as a piece of jewellery would, and each pawn has been delicately finished with the vibrant hues of Blue Lapis precious stone, perfectly complimenting the darker, rich shades.

Bergman Interiors founder Marie Soliman was inspired to create something more of an art form, using her knowledge and passion as a designer to create a piece which boasts authenticity on every level of craft, glamour and functionality. Inspired by her love of playing with unique materials and textures, Soliman’s artistic background ensures that each piece or project that she works on tells and distinct and fascinating story. Past projects of Bergman Interiors include BXR, London’s first boutique boxing gym, which was awarded three global design awards. They have also recently launched the Engine Room, London’s first indoor rowing studio located in a stunning Grade II listed church.
