The Bite Size News: A Guide to the Latest Luxury News

Every week, The Sybarite collates its pick of the hottest luxury lifestyle news into bite size chunks.
In this week’s bite size news, we cover the engagement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Christmas at Bluebird Cafe, the opening of Granary Square Brasserie, and the annual Battersea Cats and Dogs Home Carol Concert.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Announce Engagement.

Following rumours that the couple were set to become engaged imminently, today an announcement came from Clarence House this morning announcing that they will be getting married next year after Harry sought permission from Ms Markle’s parents.

The ring is a gorgeous custom piece designed by the Prince himself, and features a diamond from Botswana, where Meghan and himself have previously visited together – and two diamonds belonging Diana. To announce the engagement Meghan wore a stunning white coat from the brand LINE, which, obviously, sold out instantly and crashed the website.

The Sybarite wishes the happy couple massive congratulations and we can’t wait for the festivities next year

Christmas at Bluebird Cafe in Chelsea.

Possibly one of Chelsea’s most iconic eateries are kicking off their festive nutcracker themed celebrations with festive wreath making events, gingerbread house making workshops and carol singing all taking place within the next month. As well as this, check out the menus for Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, because really, who wants to deal with the hassle of hosting Christmas?

Battersea Cats & Dogs Home Carol Concert.

What better way to kick off the festive season than a carol concert in support of some of our favourite four-legged friends? Head down to St Luke’s Church in Chelsea (sans pets, sorry!) and have an evening filled with carols, mince pies and mulled wine.

Granary Square Brasserie.

The King’s Cross Brasseries is set to open next week from the team behind The Ivy Collection. Expect a cosy lounge area with low leather chairs for lunches and coffees; the central bar is located in the heart of the restaurant and is striking to look at and provides some amazing cocktails. Or for Al Fresco dining, head out onto the terrace and soak up some winter sun whilst snuggling up under blankets and heaters.
