Etihad Airways and Chapman Freeborn Announce Private Jet Partnership

Etihad Airways has partnered with Chapman Freeborn, a leading global aircraft charter company, to provide its premium passengers an experience of superior luxury within The Residence and First Apartment cabins available on Etihad’s Airb us A380 fleet.

Shane O’Hare, Etihad Airways’ Senior Vice President Marketing, said: ‘Etihad Airways’ A380s are unrivalled for their innovation and comfort. We have elevated the travel experience for premium guests by configuring our flagship aircraft with genuine living spaces, providing the levels of privacy, technology and discreet service only found on the most luxurious private jets.’

The offering is unique in that it promises the full private jetexperience aboarda commercial airliner. Chapman Freeborn have configured each of the larger-than-average cabins (125 sq. ft.) to include three rooms: a luxurious living room, a double bedroom and a sleek bathroom. To crown it all, every cabin has its own Savoy-trained butler and on-board chef.

The living room in each of the nine ‘apartments’, as they are called, features a reclining lounge chair and an ottoman that conveniently and elegantly transforms into a separate fully flat bed. With wi-fi  access on board and an advanced entertainment system, your long-haul flight will get so cosy you might not want to leave.

Service is a key element of Etihad’s ‘luxury living’ experience. A concierge team handles dining reservations, entertainment bookings and anything else a passenger may require. The Etihad experience extends beyond the aircraft, as the VIP concierge team facilitates check-in and security procedures to ensure a smooth journey.

Should The Residence and First Apartment guests have connecting flights, Chapman Freeborn has its own fleet of executive jets for those onward journeys. Etihad Airways’ A380s currently fly from Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow and from Abu Dhabi to Sydney. Flights from Abu Dhabi to New York JFK begin on 1 December 2015.
