Julie’s Restaurant in Holland Park Announces 50th Anniversary Grand Reopening

There are only a handful of restaurants in the capital that can proudly say they have been open for half a century and have had the pleasure of hosting legends such as Sir Paul McCartney, Kate Moss, and Princess Diana. Despite the star-studded guests who have enjoyed the delicious food and lively parties that Julie’s is known for, owners Tim and Cathy Herring insist that the restaurant maintains its ethos as a neighbourhood gathering place. “We are greatly looking forward to welcoming our loyal customers who come from all over the world, as well as those from the local neighbourhood. It will be a fun and happy reunion for many friends,” says the couple.

The woman-in-charge of the new look and feel is no other than Julie Hodgess herself, who was the original owner and interior designer. The redesign features a tasteful blend of modern pieces, such as Pakistani woollen rugs, and nostalgic elements like stained-glass windows and Gothic wood carvings.

This time around, the Herrings are welcoming former head chef at The Goring, Shay Cooper, who will be delighting diners with his take on modern British cuisine. A preview of the menu features dishes such as Hereford beef tartare, charred kale risotto, and roast Cornish cod.

Reservations for Julie’s (required until the end of September) can be made starting the 19th of September via www.juliesrestaurant.com.
