Luxury yachts and cars eye up London’s affluent residents

It’s spring in the northern hemisphere which means you are likely to have encounters with London’s affluent socialites at a long list of exclusive society events. These invitation-only occasions gives The Sybarite access to the luxury experiences that shape the lives of society’s influential and wealthy.

One of the symbols of success this millennium and in recent times has been boat ownership and we are not referring to catamarans (we have nothing against them by the way but there is a place and time). In fact there wasn’t a catamaran in sight at St. Katherine’s Dock this week when London’s new financial oasis hosted Princess Yachts fleet of luxury motor yachts at the inaugural London Yacht Jet and Prestige Car Show.

The event coincided with the 50th anniversary celebration of family-owned Princess Yachts Motor Sales and to honour the occasion, guests were treated to champagne and canapés on board the Princess 98 with the 88 and V72 moored next door. The Princess 98 on show is spacious 30m motor yacht that can house a jet ski and 6 crew members who can access the helm and galley from the side-decks so that you have the utmost privacy when entertaining guests. The interior is luxurious – as one would expect from a yacht valued at £7 million (without customisation).

Princess Yachts Motor Sales attended the event to promote its turn-key solutions for its customers and to attract London’s well-heeled clientele. Max Whale, the company’s Commercial Director and member of a dynasty of yacht and luxury car owners and vendors, expressed the company’s pride to be associated with the show.

“Princess yacht ownership creates luxurious leisure experiences. The London Yacht, Jet and Prestige Car Show gives us a unique platform to show those who may already be familiar with the adrenaline of supercar ownership, or the convenience of owning their own plane, the unique and bespoke luxury experiences that can be created with Princess ownership. And the actual ownership experience needs to mirrors this. Our buyers demand a turn-key solution to superyacht ownership, giving them the reassurance that help is at hand whenever needed. Our unique aftersales facilities in the United Kingdom and across Europe provide this reassurance,” he concluded.
