This week, The Sybarite is looking at the most innovative new luxe drink brands on the market. From boozy coffee liqueur to sumptuous sparkling elderflower wine, here’s our pick of the suavest swills to impress.
Originating from Australia, this is the original cold press coffee liqueur – a bitter, intense spirit and coffee creation with a big coffee flavour, Mr Black is ideal for lovers of fine coffee.
Unlike every other coffee liqueur, Mr Black is entirely cold extracted and contains no added flavorings, caramels or vanillas.
Whilst Mr Black was originally created to be drunk straight-up over ice, it can be used to add a complex coffee character and caffeinated kick to both classic and new world cocktails.
Hailing from the west Dorset coast, Black Cow is the only producer in the world of Pure Milk Vodka™, an exciting new tipple made solely from the milk of grass grazed cows. This fresh whole milk gives the vodka an exceptionally smooth, creamy taste.
To make, the milk is separated into curds and whey. The curds are used to make cheese and the whey is fermented into a beer using a special yeast that converts the milk sugar into alcohol. This milk beer is then distilled and treated to a blending process. The vodka is then triple filtered and finished, before being hand bottled.
Here at The Sybarite, we love trying new things, so imagine our delight when we tried the tipples from fresh new brand Renegade Wines. This exciting company has three flavours of sparkling wine, all using elderflower as the base ingredient.
Similar to the process of making wine, the elderflower is fermented to make three different flavours: Regular, Lite (less sugar, less alcohol, drier finish) and Blush (added mixed berries and rhubarb, giving the drink a rose tint).
