Luxurious Vegan Getaways

Despite veganism becoming steadily more common over the years, it can still be difficult to find a holiday that caters to all your dietary needs. Luckily here at The Sybarite we have got you covered and found four of the best vegan-friendly holiday destinations around the world.

Atmosphere Kanifushi, Maldives

Atmosphere Kanifushi offers not only breathtaking sandy white beaches and top of the range spa, but it is also home to the Maldives first vegetarian restaurant which also offers superb vegan and Jain options.

Signature dishes include the exceptional Veggie Pad Thai, the ‘Solaris’ which is a terrine of Tapioca and Caponata, and the Mango Sticky Rice – a dish of glutinous black rice with coconut milk and served with fresh Mango

As well as the food being vegan, the in-room amenities such as insect repellant, sunscreen, and lip butter are all made from the luxury animal product and anti-animal testing brand Kimrica.

Whilst staying at the resort guest can take part in a number of activities, including using the resort’s very own licensed Dive Centre to explore the hidden wonders beneath the surface of the sea.

Shunyata Villas, Bali

The Shunyata Villas (translated as Ocean of Light) offers 3 exclusive villas and the Healthy Gourmet Kitchen caters to not only vegans but provides raw, gluten-free and lactose-free diets.

The room amenities also cater for vegans and non-animal tested options are also available as well as rooms having four-poster beds, open air bathrooms and private patios with private pools.

Guests can also make full use of the luscious gardens and pool and can also take part in cookery classes as well as tai chi and yoga classes.

Norwegian Fjords Cruise

Take a journey through the stunning fjords, with the tranquil blue waters, skyscraping mountains, and cascading waterfalls. The recently updated MS Columbus has vegan-friendly products in all the bathrooms, as well as large, spacious cabins, with Junior Balcony Suites offering an additional seating area, balcony and large bathroom with a bath and shower.

The many restaurants onboard provide outstanding vegan meals and serve everything from completely vegan buffet breakfasts to luxury five-course dinners in both casual poolside bars and contemporary restaurants.

Whilst on the cruise guests will get to experience both tiny villages and the second largest city in Norway, allowing for diversity and stunning sightseeing opportunities.

Ramla Bay Resort, Malta

Every room at the Ramla Bay Resort has unobstructed views of either the beautiful countryside or the breathtaking crystal clear mediterranean sea. The resort is the perfect slice of tranquility, with a private sandy beach, gorgeous gardens, as well as outdoor saltwater pools.

The various restaurants all serve a multitude of vegan and gluten free dishes, including pasta dishes, pizzas, salads and desserts such as the Black Bean Stir Fry, the Tofu and Spinach Börek and the Pastel De Crema Mecocha.

The luxury spa features a sauna, steam room and fitness room as well as treatment packages aimed to stimulate relaxation and tranquility; and reflexology and hot stone massages.
