London Craft Week 2018 starts today, kicking off five days of workshops, tours and exhibitions all across London, celebrating unique and beautiful craftsmanship in all its forms. With over 200 different brands, designers, and galleries involved in the festival this year, The Sybarite have narrowed the vast programme down to our top five picks for you to discover.
Handmade Bicycles and Bespoke Gloves at Bentleys
Vintage leather specialists Bentleys and holding two exhibitions of their exquisite leather, handmade bicycles and leather wrapped accessories with Helio Ascari and and hand-stitched gloves with Riina Oun. Attendees will also have a chance to try their hand at crafting leather gloves, as Riina Oun will also host workshops to showcase her incredible craftsmanship.

1920’s fragrance workshop at Floris
If you’re a lover of fine fragrance, a workshop at esteemed British perfumer Floris with perfumers Edward Bodenham and Nicola Pozzani is most definitely the event for you. Inspired by the latest launch from the Fragrance Journals, ‘1927’, guests will be treated with complimentary champagne and a tour of the historic Floris perfumery.

Gems and Minerals Tour at the Natural History Museum
Ideal for any crystal lovers, this tour of the Minerals gallery, led by Robin Hansen and Silvia Weidenbach, shows jewellery lovers exactly how rocks are transformed into their favourite accessories, and includes a collection of 185,000 minerals and gems to admire.

Little Globe Company at Shapero Modern
For those looking or something a little bit different, Loraine Rutt will lead an exhibition on pocket globes and porcelain maps, demonstrating the incredibly delicate craftsmanship of making intricate ceramic globes. On Saturday Loraine will be holding a globe-making workshop at her studio in Peckham, and guests will be able to take home their bespoke creations.
