The Best of Bespoke Gifting This Festive Season

Tastemakers of the highest order have been using bespoke for centuries; from tailored clothing to monogrammed slippers, the idealism of personalization is that of wanting an object to feel unique and made only for us. Today, we are lucky enough to be living in an age where anything is attainable, yet most people will still opt for the quicker, ready-to-wear, fast fashion approach.

We at The Sybarite refuse to conform, so with this we bring you the best in bespoke for the festive season.

Smythson Christmas Cards
Pop down to any one of the stationers Bespoke Salons (Bond Street, Sloane Street or Harrods), and discuss your Christmas card options with a consultant – choose from an existing design or feel free to create one yourself – children’s drawings or Santa lists are among the top favourites! Customers have complete control over the whole design from font to colour to tissue paper and even if you want your own handwriting inside the card. The devil’s in the details. Smythson takes two weeks to create and prices start from £258 for 25 cards and envelopes.

Ralph Lauren Polo Embroidery
Create your own classic monogram with Ralph Lauren shirts, polo shirts and jumpers either online or in store. Choose your colour garment, what font you want to use and the optional three or two initials. There are also two new choices of either different dog breeds embroidery for the canine lovers or the iconic Polo Bear. Ralph Lauren shirts from £96 and takes 1-2 days.

Burberry Monogram Service
Following on from last year’s success with socialites and street style icons the world over showing off their personalized Burberry scarves, this year we’d say invest in the brands most iconic feature; the Heritage Trench Coat, this can be personalized using one of 15 thread colours, choose your fit then monogram the inside with your own initials. Perfect.

Penhaligons Fragrance Profiling
For something a bit different, log onto Penhaligons fragrance profiling website where you will be asked a series of multiple choice questions such as ‘Where is your ideal destination?’ or ‘What do you like to drink?’, after which the site will pick out six of the most ideal fragrances especially for you. Customers can then learn about each individual fragrance before picking two scents to sample at home.
