Jaguar debuts first SUV
Much awaited since its dramatic reveal at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, Jaguar’s first ever SUV, the F-Pace is a powerful softroader, dubbed its “performance crossover” vehicle is finally here. More sports car than SUV, the F-Pace runs on either an Ingenium two- four-cylinder turbocharged diesel unit – bringing you to 296 bhp – or the three-litre V6 supercharged petrol variants, which will take you to 375bhp, propelling the car to 62mph in 5.5 seconds.
Inside the world’s most luxurious private jet
At $66 million (R886 million), it’s no wonder that the Gulfstream G650ER is considered the ultimate private jet by industry experts. With a range of 13,890km when flying at Mach 0.85 (1,040km/h), the jet not only allows its owners to fly in complete luxury, but to travel from Hong Kong to New York without stopping.
Christian Louboutin designs Cuba’s Olympics outfits
The well known red sole shoe designer is adding his magical touch to the Rio Olympics, as the co-designer of the official non-performance outfit for the Cuban national team. Teaming up with professional handball player – turned sports wear designer Henri Tai, the red-centric designs will be worn by the athletes at formal occasions such as the event’s closing ceremony.
The outfit centers on sharply tailored jackets in red for men and beige for women bearing the Cuban flag on the breast pocket and a lucky five-pointed star at the back, as well as snazzy shoes, of course.
Huus Hotel in Switzerland to launch before Christmas
Situated between Schönried and Saanen, the luxurious 131-room hotel will offer views of the Alpine peaks, waterfalls and high moors. Opening in December, the resort boasts numerous expert-led outdoor activities. Guests can look forward to 250km of slopes and trails in the winter, and bikes, hikes and rafting in spring. With a focus on wellness, the hotel features a Finnish panoramic spa; including an aroma sauna, ice bath and Kneipp hydrotherapy pool.
