Gary Ingham Salons are a small independent chain of award-winning Aveda salons and spas in Hampstead and Primrose Hill. Now seen as two of the most exclusive beauty addresses in north London, I am lucky enough to work close to the Primrose Hill salon and walk past it each morning on my way to the office. So when it was time for my cut and colour I knew exactly where I wanted to book.
Gary Ingham is an award-winning hairstylist who has amassed a huge celebrity following with clients such as Sadie Frost and TV presenters Sue Perkins and Anna Richardson.
The salon puts a lot of emphasis on relaxation and this is felt as soon as you walk through the doors, the wooden deco is calming and the staff friendly and welcoming. I was offered a head and shoulder massage before my stylist even started on my hair – which after a long day at work was just what the doctor ordered. Plus, the whole place smells of Aveda products, which instantly makes you want to melt.
Following the application of a full-colour gloss, I was then treated to a super relaxing hair wash in a comfy massage chair while a conditioning treatment was applied to my hair. I think I may have even drifted off while my locks enjoyed a good pampering. I had wanted my hair colour to have a little more depth and for my shine to be restored, and that is exactly what I got, plus for once my fringe was cut perfectly.
Since visiting the salon I have fallen in love with their Sap Moss Shampoo and Conditioner which smells absolutely beautiful and leaves my hair feeling so soft. It is silicone-free and the hair is left infused with an earthy aroma of jasmine and certified organic olibanum and cypress.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the salon and will definitely be returning.
