Pippa Middleton’s Wedding: What We Know About The Big Day

The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister shot to fame when she wore that white Alexander McQueen dress at the royal wedding in 2001. With her own big day coming up on 20th May, we share everything we know so far about the society wedding of the year.

Pippa will be marrying James Matthews at St. Mark’s church in Englefield, Berkshire, with a reception to follow in the grounds of the family home in Bucklebury. Pippa will become a Lady after her marriage to James.

The pair have been friends for over 10 years, getting engaged in the Lake District in July last year after a year of dating. However, the couple previously dated in 2012 before rekindling their romance at the end of 2015.

James proposed to Pippa with a stunning Art Deco-inspired Asscher cut diamond. The dazzling piece of jewellery reportedly cost about £250,000.

Eton-educated Matthews currently lives in Chelsea with Pippa and is the chief executive of Eden Rock Capital Management Group. He is also the older brother of Made in Chelsea‘s notorious playboy Spencer Matthews and his family own the famous luxury St Barths resort, Eden Rock.

Pippa enjoyed a low-key “hen-do” in March, when she and her sister, Kate, flew to Meribel, France, for a skiing holiday by private jet.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will also have front row seats at the wedding, along with Prince Harry and his girlfriend Meghan Markle.  Pippa’s adorable niece and nephew, Princess Charlotte and Prince George, will be taking part in the wedding as page boy and bridesmaid.

There has been much discussion around who will design Pippa’s wedding dress, however, British designer Giles Deacon has been top of the list ever since he was spotted arriving at Pippa’s house with dresses in November.
