In this edition of bite size news, we focus on the upcoming royal wedding, and what luxury wedding products and services Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are selecting for their all important big day.

With the royal wedding of Prince harry and his fiancee, former American actress Meghan Markle, less than a month away now, the country is soon to be gripped by royal wedding fever. And although most of us haven’t been lucky enough to receive an invitation to the event through our doors, we are all invited to be a part of the growing excitement. For those looking forward to welcoming a new ‘princess’ to our royal family, we’ve collected all the information available on this highly secret event, just for you.

The Guests

With a reported 600 guests to attend the ceremony at Windsor palace and a further 200 to join them for the reception, we know for sure that there will be no shortage of famous faces at Harry and Meghan’s wedding. James Blunt is a potential guest after serving in the army alongside the groom, as well as British soul singer Joss Stone, who is an ambassador for Harry’s Sentebale charity. Cara Delevingne is also reportedly a good friend of Harry’s, along with Ellie Goulding and Sir Elton John, who was good friends with Harry’s mother, Princess Diana. David and Victoria Beckham are rumoured to be joining the festivities after also attending Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding. Meghan Markle is said to be firm friends with Serena Williams, who is rumoured to be flying over to attend, as well as her cast mates from Suits, the legal drama she starred in for seven seasons.

The Cake

Claire Ptak has been commissioned to bake the royal wedding cake, which will be a lemon and elderflower sponge with buttercream icing and fresh flowers.

The Wedding Party

Since they’ll be juggling two kids and a newborn baby, it’s no surprise that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are planning to take a backseat during Harry and Meghan’s big day. Although Prince William is best man, Kate Middleton isn’t likely to be a part of the bridal party. However, her two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, are rumoured to be acting as flower girl and page boy. Meghan’s best friend Lindsay Roth is most likely to be stepping in as maid of honour after asking the future princess to be her own maid of honour.

The Dress

Probably the most important and anticipated aspect of the big day is being kept top secret: the all important wedding dress. Meghan will most likely be wearing two gowns; one for the ceremony and another for the reception. Whilst she is expected to remain respectful and traditional, many are hoping she’ll push the envelope a little more than Kate Middleton and add some stylish flare to the celebrations. Rumoured designers of her wedding gown include Roland Mouret, Erdem and Alexander McQueen.
